**6-Oct-2025 19:50 UTC**

We are excited to announce that we will be moving from weekly updates of the MEDLINE index to daily updates. This will be achieved with the introduction of a new index that will be called PubMed Abstracts and will replace the existing MEDLINE index. The name change aligns with the PubMed database nomenclature. You can find more information here https://community.linguamatics.com/advisories/replacement-medline-index-pubmed-abstracts-index

The new index was made available on your I2E OnDemand instance in September and we have planned this as a phased transition between the two indexes. The MEDLINE index will be removed on or after 31st October. Please reach out to us at nlpsupport@iqvia.com if you have any questions or concerns and we will be happy to help!

Our NLP Content Store Indexing team have found out that we have stopped receiving updates for the Biorxiv and Medrxiv indexes.
We are working on identifying the issue and suspect that our source data downloader has been impacted by recent changes to the source.

Due to the nature of the incident, we expect that we will not get updates for some time.
We will provide a further update by 14-Jul-2025 22:00 UTC and apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused.

The source data provider confirmed that this was a transient issue with their API, so we are again receiving updates for UK Drug Labels.
The latest UK Drug Labels index was built and published on 10-Jun-2024, this index contains the latest updates.

**10-Jun-2024 14:10 UTC**

The download mechanism that we use for sourcing new UK Drug Labels has been impacted by upstream API changes by the source data provider.
Our Content Store Indexing team is working with the source data provider to confirm the nature of the API changes.

The impact of this on the UK Drug Labels index is that it only includes source documents up to and including those published on 23-May-2024.

Our Content Store Indexing team have updated the download logic for UK Drug Labels to avoid duplication of documents in the index.
Prior to this change, new versions would accumulate in the index.

Our OnDemand operations team have recently re-downloaded all the UK Drug Label sources and built the index with the changes.
Customers may observe a significant drop in document counts because many documents were previously duplicated.

**28-May-2024 13:45 UTC**
Drugs@FDA is again receiving updates. The new downloader is functional and updated indexes have been published to I2E OnDemand.

There is a new index "Drugs_at_FDA_Others" which will contain documents that do not fit into the Label, Letter, or Review categories (or the category cannot be determined). This index may contain some documents that were previously assigned to the "Review" category by default.

**17-Nov-2023 13:45 UTC**

The mechanism that we use to download source data from Drugs@FDA has encountered issues with handling upstream changes by the source data provider.
Due to this, the Drugs@FDA index has been last updated with labels from May 2023.

Our Content Store Indexing team is working on modifying the download mechanism to address these upstream changes.
We will have a further update for you by 31-May-2024 22:00 UTC and apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused.

**09-Jun-2023 09:45 UTC**
This maintenance is now complete and our I2E OnDemand platform and IQVIA NLP-provided indexes are now available.

**06-Jun-2023 20:40 UTC**

We will be conducting scheduled maintenance of the I2E OnDemand platform during the evenings of 07-Jun-2023 and 08-Jun-2023.

Between 20:00 UTC on 07-Jun-2023 / 08-Jun-2023 and 01:00 UTC on 08-Jun-2023 / 09-Jun-2023, I2E OnDemand and NLP Insights Hub search functionality may be periodically unavailable and access to IQVIA NLP-provided indexes, such as MEDLINE, will be interrupted.

I2E OnDemand+ customers who have Indexing and/or Querying tasks scheduled for those evenings should make arrangements to ensure that the downtime does not impact those processes.

After the maintenance has been completed, I2E OnDemand servers will have been upgraded to I2E 6.9 (currently they run I2E 6.8).

The issue is now resolved and the ChemAxon (Name to Structure) is available for MEDLINE Full Index.

**01-Sept-2022 16:20 UTC**

The ChemAxon (Name to Structure) ontology is currently unavailable for the MEDLINE Full index. We are aware of the issue and are working on fixing it urgently.
As a temporary workaround, customers can instead use the MEDLINE annual indexes or multi-year indexes (i.e. Last 10 Years) for any Chemistry queries.

Please know that our teams are working on this, and we will update you by 02-Sept-2022 16:00 UTC with the latest information.
